Yehuda Ben Harush
Yehuda’s been dancing for over a decade and has been running the weekly Balkan dancing group in Jerusalem since Dunav was founded. During this time he’s introduced close to 200 dances, mostly dances that he brought back with him from various trips to Balkan countries and villages.
He created and maintains the Dunav database, directs the Dunav performing group and produces all of Dunav products.
Dunav related activities
Yehuda instigates and runs many Dunav activities, including dance happenings, theme parties, local dance seminars and the annual Dunav sponsored weekend seminar abroad.

Over the years Yehuda has produced 12 music CDs of Balkan music for the organization; two books with lyrics and translations to songs, each with a set of three CDs,

Yehuda began organizing his folklore collection in a dynamic database that has grown into the richest available repository of Balkan folklore in digital format.
Information and knowledge
Yehuda gathered most of his knowledge from the source by attending seminars and workshops in the Balkan countries and all over Europe.
Mika Yehezkeli
Mika is a marketing and web strategist for hi-tech startups. Dunav had been around for almost five years before she thought about applying her skills to her hobby,
and started this web site. The web site, which she built and maintains, is her vision.
Chana Englard
Chana is an ethnomusicologist by training and works as a concert producer at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. She started Balkan dancing 23 years ago and graduated from the International Folk Dance Teachers course at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in 1985.
Chana has been running Greek dancing in the Greek community together with Kostas since 1999. She also teaches Greek dancing on Tuesday nights in Petach Tikva
She introduced Balkan dancing at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and has been teaching dancing there since 1999 for the Movement and Movement Notation Department.
Information and knowledge
Chana has spent the past few years researching and specializing in Greek dances, each year attending Greek dance seminars that specialize in dances from different regions. She’s been to seminars and folklore trips in the Balkan countries (Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Macedonia, and Albania) every year since 1991.
Yehonatan Tsvi
Yonatan is a lawyer by profession. He is also a professional tour guide, and has led tours both in Israel and abroad. He was a pilot in the army. He plays the piano and guitar and still goes Israeli folk dancing regularly.
Dunav related activities
Yonatan donates his services to help preserve the Balkan folk dance community. He provided the legal groundwork to help found the organization and provides continuing pro bono assistance for all of Dunav’s legal activities
Giora Barkai
Giora is in charge of logistics for Dunav events. He has traveled extensively in the Balkans, attending numerous folk dance seminars and camps.
